Monday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for intensified international efforts to end the ongoing war in Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need to alleviate the humanitarian suffering endured by Palestinians.

Sisi's remarks came during a pivotal meeting held with a delegation comprising members of the US Congress from both the Democratic and Republican parties. Chaired by Senator Jerry Moran, the delegation's discussions centered on the pressing issue of the war on Gaza.

During the meeting, Sisi underscored the grave risks posed by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) operations in Rafah. He highlighted the dire humanitarian and security implications of the war, stressing the imperative of joint international action.

The Egyptian leader reiterated the call for serious engagement in implementing a two-state solution, per international resolutions. He emphasized that such a solution represents a pathway to achieving justice, peace, and security for all peoples of the region.
