The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said that it has established “operational control” over the Philadelphi Corridor – a narrow strip of land that runs for 14 kilometers along the Gaza-Egypt border.

The IOF says it is currently controlling the area with “surveillance and firepower”, and that their troops are stationed in the corridor expect for a small section near the coast.

The statement further claims that Hamas can now no longer smuggle weapons in from Egypt.
