The Israeli Occupation Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has warned the leader of Lebanese group Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah that he “will pay” for the “harsh reality” he has created.

In a meeting with the “Israeli” Northern Command, where he presented photos and details of senior Hezbollah commanders assassinated by “Israel” as a result of the eight months of skirmishes between the two since Oct. 8, 2023.

“Nasrallah is dragging Lebanon into a harsh reality…The ones who will pay the price are the residents of Lebanon and Hezbollah forces. This is the same Nasrallah who said two weeks ago that there are no casualties among the Hezbollah terrorists,” Gallant said in the meeting.

“I ask him – all these people aren’t yours?”

“There are over 320 dead terrorists including senior terrorists. If you continue we will escalate,” Gallant said, in a warning to Hezbollah.

In early May, Gallant hinted at a possible escalation with Lebanese group Hezbollah in south Lebanon ahead of this year’s summer.

“It could be a hot summer,” Gallant said, alluding to an escalation with the Iranian-backed group.

“We have pushed Hezbollah away from the lines of contact to significant distances, but this does not mean that it has disappeared,” he said to army reservists in the 91st Division at an earlier time.

“We have very significant, very heavy firepower, and we will make sure to activate it if there is a need and a reason,” Gallant added.

“Now you have to prepare for the upcoming [missions], and this summer could be a hot summer.”
