Dhu Al-Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar, spans 30 days. This schedule indicates that the new Hijri year, 1446, will begin after this month.

Looking ahead, the first day of Muharram, which marks the beginning of the Hijri year, will be observed on Sunday, July 6, 2024.

The alignment of the calendar means that the last two days of the current Hijri year fall on a Friday and Saturday. This will be followed by Sunday, which ushers in the first day of the new Hijri year 1446. As a result, Jordanians can anticipate a three-day consecutive holiday.
