US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to visit Jordan, Egypt, Tel Aviv, and Qatar from June 10 to 12 to discuss a ceasefire in Gaza.

The US State Department confirmed that Blinken will discuss with partners the need for a ceasefire ensuring the release of all captives. The department's statement emphasized that Blinken will stress the importance of Hamas accepting the current proposal, similar to one supported by Hamas last month.

Blinken will discuss how the ceasefire proposal benefits both Tel Aviv and Hamas, highlighting that it will alleviate suffering in Gaza, allow for a significant increase in humanitarian aid, and enable Palestinians to return to their neighborhoods.

The State Department noted that Blinken will emphasize that the agreement will create the possibility of calm on the northern borders, allowing Lebanese and "Israeli" families to return to their homes. Additionally, it will foster conditions for greater integration between Tel Aviv and its Arab neighbors, enhancing long-term security and regional stability.
