Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced Saturday that his country will suspend coal exports to the Israeli Occupation over the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip.

“We will suspend coal exports to Israel until it stops the genocide,” Petro said on his X official X account.

In early May, President Petro said that his country will sever diplomatic ties with the Israeli Occupation, whose leader -Benjamin Netanyahu- described as “genocidal”.

In late May, Petro also announced that Colombia will open an embassy in Ramallah in the West Bank.
