The Ministry of Education announced today the academic calendar for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year for public schools, military schools, and UNRWA schools.

This calendar aligns with the national plan for the remedial program aimed at addressing educational deficiencies among students. The schedule is as follows: Sunday, August 11, 2024, marks the start of the academic year for teaching staff. On Wednesday and Thursday, August 14-15, 2024, textbooks will be distributed to students, and transfers will be registered. Sunday, August 18, 2024, will be the first day of school for students for the first semester.

From Wednesday, December 18, 2024, to Sunday, January 5, 2025, final assessments (final exams) for the first semester will be held for basic education and secondary students in grades 11 and 12. The winter break will be from Monday, January 6, 2025, to Thursday, January 16, 2025.

The second semester for students will commence on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Final assessments for the second semester for grade 12 students will be held from Wednesday, May 7, 2025, to Saturday, May 24, 2025.

From Sunday, June 1, 2025, to Wednesday, June 25, 2025, final assessments for the second semester for basic education students and grade 11 students will take place. The summer break for students will begin on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Results and school certificates will be finalized by Monday, June 30, 2025. The total number of school days in the academic year will be 217 days.
