US Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is committed to supporting the ceasefire proposal put forth by US President Joe Biden.

Additionally, Blinken noted that Hamas’s recent statement in support of a UN resolution offers a glimmer of hope. However, he warned that prolonged war increases the risk of broader escalation.

He emphasized that the forthcoming statements from Hamas’ leadership are the most significant and are eagerly awaited.

Blinken reiterated that Biden's proposal is the most viable solution for Gaza and confirmed that it has been well-received by Tel Aviv.
