Hamas leader Osama Hamdan accused US Secretary of State Antony Blinken of being a hindrance to reaching a ceasefire agreement

In a press conference on Tuesday, Hamdan told Reuters that Blinken acts according to what the Israeli Occupation wants.

Hamdan highlighted that despite some shortcomings, the recent UN Security Council resolution confirms a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of the Israeli Occupation, but it will not materialize unless agreed upon by the occupation.

Hamdan noted that while there are points in the resolution that Hamas does not accept, the fundamental aspects are positive.

Earlier, Hamas senior spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri confirmed to Reuters that the movement has accepted the Security Council resolution and is ready to negotiate the details.

Abu Zuhri emphasized that the US administration faces a real test in fulfilling its commitments to compel the occupation to immediately stop the war as per the Security Council resolution.
