US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to attend a humanitarian aid conference for Gaza hosted by Jordan, continuing his Middle East tour to secure a ceasefire between "Israel" and Hamas. The conference, titled "Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza," is organized by Jordan, Egypt, and the UN.

Leaders, foreign ministers, and officials from 75 countries, along with international organizations like the International Committee of the Red Cross, will participate.

The organizers highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, with famine, trauma, and widespread destruction, noting that no place is safe and access to basic necessities is nearly non-existent.

Blinken's trip aims to negotiate a ceasefire that would release all hostages, alleviate Gaza's suffering, and enable a surge in humanitarian aid. This agreement could lead to stability along "Israel's" northern border and facilitate integration between "Israel" and its Arab neighbors, enhancing long-term regional security.

Departing from "Israel," and heading straight to Jordan, his Middle East tour includes stops in Egypt, "Israel", Jordan, and Qatar from June 10-12, focusing on discussions to secure a ceasefire and humanitarian aid. Following his Middle East tour, Blinken will join President Biden at the G7 Leaders' Summit in Apulia, Italy from June 13-14.
