Jordan strongly condemned the increasing and repeated incursions by extremist settlers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the latest of which occurred on Wednesday morning under the protection of Israeli Occupation police.

Sufyan Qudah, the ministry’s spokesperson, warned against the continuation of these condemned and rejected violations and provocative practices. He stressed that such actions breach the existing legal and historical status quo in occupied Jerusalem and its holy sites, constituting a violation of international law.
Qudah reiterated that the entire 144-dunam area of Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims. He emphasized that the Israeli Occupation has no sovereignty over it or over occupied East Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.

The ambassador called on “Israel”, as the occupying power, to cease all practices and violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and to respect its sanctity.
