Radio France confirmed that the comedian's contract was terminated prematurely, citing a "major mistake."

The incident was triggered when the European Jewish Organization filed a complaint against Guillaume Meurice, accusing him of "encouraging violence and spreading anti-Semitic hatred" following his critical and humorous comments against Netanyahu during the program.

Sibyle Veil, the CEO of Radio France, explained in a statement to Le Monde that Meurice was dismissed due to his "stubbornness and repeated disloyalty."

Veil emphasized that freedom of expression and humor are not restricted within the institution, however, Meurice continued his provocative remarks despite warnings, leaving them with no choice but to terminate his contract.
