Palestinian police revealed on Thursday the details of the murder of a 69-year-old Palestinian man and arrested the suspect, his daughter, in the Qalqilya Governorate in the West Bank.

Colonel Louay Arziqat, the media spokesperson for the Palestinian police, announced that the provincial police operations received a report last Monday about the arrival of a deceased Palestinian citizen from the city of Qalqilya at Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital.

After performing an autopsy on the deceased, it was revealed that the victim had been poisoned.

Following the forensic results, the General Investigation Department launched a thorough search and investigation process. Their efforts quickly led them to suspect the victim’s daughter. Upon being questioned, she confessed to poisoning her father.

Colonel Arziqat confirmed that the case file and the suspect have been referred to the Public Prosecution for the necessary legal proceedings.
