The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in its efforts to locate missing Jordanian pilgrims and manage the burial procedures for those who passed away while performing Hajj outside the official Jordanian Hajj delegation and other authorized Hajj routes by Saudi Arabia, announced that 84 Jordanian pilgrims have been found out of 106 listed as missing.

This information is based on the database prepared by the Operations Directorate since the initial reports of missing and deceased Jordanian pilgrims, with 41 burial permits issued for Jordanians to be buried in Mecca as per their families' wishes.

Ambassador Dr. Sufian Qudah, Director of the Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate, explained that the relevant Saudi authorities are providing necessary medical care to the 84 located pilgrims, whose health conditions range from good to critical. The Jordanian Consulate team in Mecca continues to offer consular services and monitor their situation with the Saudi authorities.

Ambassador Qudah also noted that the search for the remaining 22 missing Jordanian pilgrims is ongoing, with joint efforts from the crisis cell formed by the ministry, coordinating around the clock with the Jordanian Consulate in Jeddah, the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, and the Jordanian Awqaf Hajj mission, which had previously confirmed the safety of all pilgrims from the official Jordanian delegation, with assistance from the Saudi authorities.

Ambassador Qudah emphasized that the Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate maintains constant communication with the families of the deceased and missing Jordanian pilgrims. The consulate team in Mecca visits Jordanian pilgrims in hospitals to check on their well-being and follow up on their conditions.

Ambassador Qudah renewed his call for all Jordanian pilgrims and their families to contact the following numbers for assistance, reporting missing individuals, or arranging the transport of bodies in case of death:
