On Wednesday, a fire erupted within Amman National Park, causing extensive damage to trees and dry grass across the area.

The fire, which was partially captured by Roya's cameras ,visibly consumed numerous trees within the park.

Currently, Civil Defense teams are on-site, actively engaged in efforts to contain and extinguish the fire. Their primary focus is on preventing further spread and mitigating the environmental and ecological impact within the park.

The park is located along the sides of the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) road, less than 20km south of Amman. 

The expansive park features a mountain overlooking a historic castle, children's playgrounds, recreational areas for adults and children, designated barbecue spots, football and basketball courts, and an outdoor swimming pool adjacent to the site.
