86-year-old Sheikh Sabri is accused of expressing solidarity with the families of several Palestinian resistance martyrs, praising them and their actions.

These actions took place in 2022, according to a report, when Sheikh Sabri visited the home of 28-year-old martyr Raed Hazem who conducted the Dizengoff operation in April 2022.

Sheikh Sabri also visited the home of martyr Udai Al-Tamimi, who conducted the Shuafat and Ma'aleh Adumim checkpoint operations in October 2022.

The indictment asserts that Sheikh Ikrima Sabri published words of praise, sympathy, encouragement, and support for actions described in the indictment as “terrorist”.

Based on this, the prosecution claims there is a real possibility that it could lead to further “terrorist” acts.
