The Biden administration reiterated its unwavering support for “Israel” on Wednesday, affirming its commitment to provide necessary defense capabilities.

"We stand by Israel and will work to provide it with what it needs to defend itself. US military aid continues to reach Israel," a spokesperson stated.

However, the White House expressed strong opposition to the prospect of an escalated war between Lebanon and Israel, emphasizing that such a development would not serve the interests of either nation.

Meanwhile, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan engaged in discussions with “Israeli” Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, regarding the situation in Gaza, “Israeli” security concerns, and the tense conditions prevailing along the Lebanese border.

The talks, according to official sources, aimed at preventing the emergence of a new front of war.

Responding to criticism from “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over delays in US arms shipments, the White House declined to engage in a tit-for-tat.

"We will not respond to every statement by Netanyahu and will focus on supplying Israel with what it needs," the statement affirmed.
