The Jordanian national team has been placed in a challenging group for the third and final round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Jordan finds itself in Group B alongside Iraq, South Korea, Palestine, Kuwait, and Oman.

Group A includes Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan, UAE, Kyrgyzstan, and North Korea. Group C features Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, China, and Indonesia.

The Jordanian team participated in the draw, aiming to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in its history. According to the qualification system, teams are divided into three groups, each comprising six teams. The top two teams from each group will directly qualify for the 2026 World Cup, while the third and fourth-placed teams will compete in the fourth round of the qualifiers.

The 18 teams were ranked into six levels: Level 1 includes Japan, Iran, and South Korea; Level 2 features Australia, Qatar, and Iraq; Level 3 consists of Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Jordan; Level 4 comprises UAE, Oman, and Bahrain; Level 5 includes China, Palestine, and Kyrgyzstan; and Level 6 features North Korea, Indonesia, and Kuwait.

After securing second place in the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar, the Jordanian team has attracted attention across the continent by defeating teams like Iraq and South Korea to reach the final for the first time. The team now rides a wave of confidence as they look forward to achieving further progress by qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in their history.
