The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) announced that the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza.

The organization detailed in a press release on Tuesday that the convoy, consisting of 50 trucks, was dispatched in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) and with support from various entities including the Jordan Construction Contractors Association, American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), the Bulgarian Embassy, Rawabi Farah, and other donors.

The trucks carry essential food parcels, flour, and relief materials such as mattresses, blankets, hygiene kits, and blood units.

These supplies are set to be distributed to the people in Gaza through partner associations, organizations, and hospitals operating within the sector.

Dr. Hussein Al-Shebli, the JHCO’s Secretary-General, highlighted the inclusion of a refrigerated truck and blood units specifically for hospitals to ensure the continuity of medical services amidst a severe shortage of blood supplies.

“Jordanian efforts persist in facilitating all routes to deliver and reach aid to our people in the northern Gaza Strip in particular, and the Gaza Strip in general,” Al-Shibli stated.

He also noted that the total number of land trucks sent to Gaza to date reached 2,373 trucks and 53 planes via Al-Arish.

JHCO continues to seek and receive cash donations to support its ongoing efforts.

Donations can be made through its Bank Al-Etihad account number (JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06), CliQ (JHCOGAZA), eFAWATEERcom, or through their website at www.jhco.org.jo.
