A source close to Hezbollah said a senior commander was killed Wednesday in an “Israeli” strike on a vehicle in south Lebanon – per Agence France-Presse (AFP).

"A Hezbollah commander responsible for one of three sectors in south Lebanon was killed" in an "Israeli strike on a car in Tyre", the source told AFP, requesting anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Al-Hadath reports that the commander killed in the strike in Tyre was Mohamed Naim Nasser, the head of Hezbollah's Aziz unit, one of three regional divisions in south Lebanon.

The unit is responsible for the eastern district on the border between Lebanon and “Israel”

Lebanon's state-run National News Agency said "an enemy drone targeted a car" in Tyre, a coastal city around 20 kilometers from the border.
