The Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that, as of early July 2024, approximately 9,700 prisoners and detainees are held in Israeli Occupation prisons, with 3,380 of them being administrative detainees.

In a statement received by Roya on Wednesday, the Palestinian Prisoners Society noted that over 9,510 arrest campaigns have taken place in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

Since the onset of the Israeli Occupation's aggression against Gaza, there have been more than 7,170 administrative detention orders issued, including both new and renewal orders, some of which were against children and women.

The total number of women arrested reached around 325, and 660 children were also detained.

Additionally, a stabbing attack inside a mall resulted in the deaths of two soldiers and the assailant's escape.

The number of detained journalists rose to 85 after October 7, with 52 still in detention. Among these, six are women journalists and 14 are from Gaza, as reported by the Prisoners Society.

The Prisoners Society also confirmed the deaths of at least 18 prisoners in Israeli Occupation prisons, whose identities were disclosed. Many detainees from Gaza also died in prisons and camps, but their identities and the circumstances of their deaths remain undisclosed. The Israeli Occupation admitted to the execution of one detainee and hinted at the execution of others after October 7.

Hebrew media reported that the head of the Shin Bet informed Netanyahu's government about the overcrowding of prisons with Palestinian detainees.

Prisoners' institutions indicated that this count does not include arrests from Gaza, where the Israeli Occupation acknowledged detaining about 4,000 individuals.
