The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said that an off-duty soldier was killed today in a stabbing operation at a mall in the settlement of “Karmiel”.

He is identified as Sergeant Aleksandr Iakiminskyi, 19 years old, a truck driver in the 188th Armored Brigade’s 71st Battalion, from Nahariya.

Another soldier of the 71st Battalion was seriously wounded in the operation. Both were in uniform at the time.

The assailant was Jawad Omar Rubia, part of the “48-Arabs” inside the Israeli Occupation territories – he was shot dead by the IOF afterwards.
