A source within “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that the Security Cabinet will convene Thursday evening to deliberate proposals from Hamas concerning a potential ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Netanyahu is scheduled to hold consultations with his negotiating team prior to the meeting to strategize on ceasefire negotiations.

"Mediators in the hostage agreement have presented Hamas' response to the broad outlines of the hostage deal," according to the statement issued on behalf of Netanyahu's office by the Mossad. "We are currently evaluating the response and will provide our feedback to the mediators," the statement continued.

Hamas stated on Wednesday, indicating that it had exchanged "some ideas" with mediators aimed at halting the aggression in Gaza.

A senior official within Hamas emphasized, "We have exchanged some ideas with our mediators with the aim of ending aggression against our Palestinian people."

“Israeli” Channel 12 commented on these developments, describing Hamas' response to the ceasefire proposal as a significant breakthrough, suggesting a potential framework for future negotiations.

Previous attempts to reconcile differences between “Israeli” forces and Hamas to end the prolonged war, now nearing its tenth month, have been unsuccessful.

Hamas is advocating for a complete cessation of hostilities and the full withdrawal of “Israeli” forces from Gaza. Meanwhile, “Israel” appears steadfast in its resolve to dismantle the Hamas movement.

In related developments, an “Israeli” official stated on Thursday that Hamas' response to a prospective prisoner exchange deal does not stipulate an immediate ceasefire in the initial phase of the agreement.

Channel 12 reported on Thursday morning, citing an “Israeli” official, that "Hamas' response to the deal does not include a requirement for an immediate ceasefire in the first phase," adding, "If Hamas violates the agreement, Israel reserves the right to withdraw from the agreement and resume hostilities after the initial phase."

The source, speaking anonymously and not mentioned on its official website, clarified that "Hamas' response allows for the release of elderly, children, patients, and wounded detainees."
