Commanders from four “Israeli” military divisions stationed in Gaza voiced concerns over the impact of the lack of progress on morale and effectiveness in ongoing operations, citing signs of soldier exhaustion.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority (IBA) disclosed that these commanders recently met with “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to emphasize the need for greater acknowledgment of the strains faced by troops after nine months of continuous engagement.

Russia news agency, Sputnik, highlighted a broader issue within the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), noting a critical shortage of personnel exacerbated by concurrent operations in the occupied West Bank and clashes along the northern border with Hezbollah.

“Israeli” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant underscored the immediate necessity for 10,000 additional soldiers in light of these challenges during a recent announcement.

This plea coincided with a notable uptick in resignations among IDF officers, as reported by “Israel’s” Channel 12.

More than 800 senior “Israeli” army officers with the ranks of colonel and lieutenant colonel have resigned this year alone, according to reports collected by the Middle East Monitor.

Suicides among “Israeli” soldiers have also increased in numbers due to increased stress across multiple conflict zones in “Israel”.

Meanwhile, reports from US media outlets quoted officials suggesting that senior “Israeli” generals advocate for a ceasefire in Gaza, even if it means Hamas' survival.

These sources indicated that military leaders view this pause as essential for troop recovery ahead of potential escalations with Hezbollah, while also presenting an opportunity to negotiate with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
