In the early days of July, Jordan experienced a series of tragic and distressing events.

Jordan Street Accident:

A devastating accident occurred on Jordan Street in the Shafa Badran area, where a vehicle lost control, leading to the death of two minors and injuring another. This incident caused widespread sorrow.

A video capturing the scene of the accident, showing the blood-covered bodies of the minors, was shared extensively on social media.

The Public Security Directorate announced the arrest of the videographer, identified by the Anti-Cybercrime Unit, as filming and publishing the video violated legal and societal norms, and disrespected the deceased and their families.

The videographer was referred to the judiciary and detained for a week. He faces four charges, including violating privacy and publishing distressing content online, and neglecting to provide aid to the injured.

Murder in Karak:

In another shocking incident, a young man in Karak Governorate fatally stabbed his mother with a knife, inflicting 40 wounds.

The crime, discovered by neighbors who heard the woman's screams, caused great outrage and shock.

The assailant was arrested, and the Public Prosecutor charged him with premeditated murder under Article 328/1/3 of the Penal Code.

Murder in Ain Al-Basha:

In the Ain Al-Basha area of Balqa Governorate, a man killed his sister inside their family home.

The crime sparked significant anger and dissatisfaction within the community.

The Public Security Directorate's spokesperson stated that the woman's body showed signs of severe violence and abuse by her brother. The body was sent for forensic examination, and the accused was arrested.

Digital Sorcerer:

A Facebook page run by a self-proclaimed sorcerer caused an uproar in Jordan.

The page owner, claiming to fulfill people’s desires through magic, posted photos and videos of individuals who sought his services.

This led to widespread controversy and accusations of blackmail, as he demanded money to delete the incriminating content.

The Public Security Directorate's cybercrime unit shut down the page, which was managed from Libya, and took legal action after receiving numerous complaints from victims.
