The Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court charged a young man in his twenties with premeditated murder after he violently assaulted his sister, who was in her thirties, with an electrical cord until she died inside the family home in Ain al-Basha, Balqa Governorate.

The investigation revealed that the perpetrator suspected his sister of stealing a large sum of money. He tied her up, imprisoned her, and beat her with a plastic cord until she lost consciousness.

When the victim's mother returned home, she found her daughter in a dire state and unconscious due to the severe beating. She tried to revive her with water but got no response, prompting her to call Civil Defense, which confirmed her death.

The perpetrator, who had no prior criminal record, repeatedly questioned his sister about the money's whereabouts, asking, "Where is the money?" each time he struck her until she collapsed and lost consciousness.

Upon learning of his sister's death, the perpetrator broke down in tears, reportedly not expecting that his actions would lead to her death.

Forensic Examination
A forensic medical committee at Al-Salt Governmental Hospital, under the order of the Public Prosecutor of Al-Salt, conducted an autopsy. The examination revealed binding marks on the victim's limbs and widespread bruising covering more than 40% of her body.

The cause of death was determined to be hemorrhagic shock due to extensive subcutaneous bleeding from being struck with a flexible, solid object, namely an electrical cord.

The Public Security Directorate announced last Thursday that a woman in her thirties had died inside her family home in Ain al-Basha, Balqa Governorate. Initial investigations showed signs of severe violence and abuse on her body, resulting from the assault by her brother.
