Mossad chief David Barnea is set to have a four-way meeting with CIA Director William Burns, Egyptian intelligence head Abbas Kamel and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Wednesday in the Qatari capital Doha – according to Kan news.

Barnea was previously in Doha over the weekend for “initial talks” on restarting the negotiations for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal in the Gaza Strip.

After negotiations stalled for months, Hamas responded recently to the latest outline of the proposal, with Hebrew media reporting “optimism” among “Israeli” officials that a deal could be reached.
