The Central Traffic Department issued a message to Jordanian drivers highlighting the dangers of tire defects and their significant impact on traffic accidents.

The department revealed that 32.3 percent of vehicles involved in serious injury accidents were due to tire defects.

The department emphasized that unfit tires or vehicles pose a severe threat to the lives of drivers on the roads and urged drivers not to underestimate this issue.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced the launch of a comprehensive media campaign for traffic awareness in alignment with royal directives, aimed at enhancing traffic safety and promoting a culture of responsible driving to improve the quality of traffic on Jordan's roads.

The director of the PSD, Major General Obaidallah Al-Maaytah, instructed traffic departments to work according to detailed plans and programs derived from the National Traffic Safety Strategy.

This strategy was approved by the Higher Council for Traffic Safety, chaired by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, who emphasized the importance of awareness in enhancing traffic safety and reducing human losses from traffic accidents.

Maaytah directed leaders and directors to commence a media campaign in coordination with partners in various institutions and ministries, involving community institutions and the media.
