Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq refuted claims by AFP and other media that the movement decided to halt negotiations.
In a Sunday statement on his Telegram channel, al-Rishq declared this news unfounded.
He criticized Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's actions, labeling them as a "Nazi" escalation intended to impede an agreement to cease aggression against Palestinians.

AFP had earlier reported, citing a senior Hamas leader, that the group had chosen to stop ceasefire negotiations in Gaza. The Hamas leader condemned Israeli Occupation for not taking negotiations seriously and for committing massacres against unarmed civilians.
He mentioned that Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh had informed mediators and regional parties about halting negotiations due to Israeli Occupation's lack of seriousness and continued violence against civilians.
Hamas also confirmed that Muhammad Al-Deif remained unharmed after an Israeli Occupation's raid and was actively overseeing Qassam Brigades and resistance operations.
