On Monday, a group of “Israeli” settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem, escorted by Israeli Occupation police.
The settlers entered the compound through the Moroccan Gate in multiple groups. They performed Talmudic rituals under the heavy protection of “Israeli” police, who closely monitored the area to ensure the settlers' safety, according to eyewitnesses.
Local sources reported that the Israeli Occupation police effectively transformed the Old City of Jerusalem into a heavily fortified military zone. Hundreds of soldiers were deployed intensively around the area, with a significant presence at the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
These measures included stringent restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers, sparking further tension and unrest.
The increased military presence and restrictions imposed by the Israeli police have been criticized by Palestinian residents and leaders, who view these actions as provocative and a direct violation of their religious rights.
