The Israeli Occupation has been determined to achieve one of its war objectives by eliminating Hamas since October 7. However, it seems that the occupation has begun to retreat following a series of losses inflicted by the Palestinian resistance.

“Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has, for nearly 284 days since the start of the aggression on Gaza, repeatedly emphasized that Tel Aviv's top priority in Gaza is to eliminate Hamas. 

He stated that this goal would continue alongside the objective of retrieving hostages and that both goals are included in a plan to end the war that has been approved at the highest level in his government.

Netanyahu's Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, made statements that seemed to diverge from his previously strong assertions, affirming that Tel Aviv would dismantle Hamas's rule, and capabilities, and weaken it in “Gaza”.

Gallant said, "We will dismantle Hamas's rule and capabilities. The ground operations we are conducting aim to weaken Hamas in the Gaza Strip."

He believed that military pressure in Gaza would achieve the goals and weaken the resistance.

Gallant also pointed out that retrieving hostages from Gaza and bringing them home is a national duty that must be fulfilled.

For its part, the Israeli Occupation army estimated that Hamas is still capable of bombing Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem.

The Ministry of Defense anticipated that 14,000 wounded would enter the rehabilitation department by the end of 2024 to receive treatment, with 5,600 of them expected to face psychological disorders.
