The Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court has charged an individual with premeditated murder for the killing of a Jordanian citizen, whose body was dismembered and parts scattered in various locations.

The accused has been detained for 15 renewable days in a correctional and rehabilitation center, according to sources close to the investigation.

The victim's sister revealed to Roya that on Monday morning, July 15, 2024, her brother went to meet the killer at 9 AM to hand over JD 150,000 for an investment the killer had promised.

When her brother did not return, and repeated calls from his wife went unanswered, the family grew concerned. The killer had turned off the victim's phone.

The family searched hospitals and other locations for the victim. They became suspicious after hearing news about the discovery of body parts. Upon contacting Public Security, a DNA test confirmed that the found body parts belonged to the victim.

Public Security Directorate arrested the suspect, finding evidence on his phone indicating plans to kill the victim's two brothers as well.

The National Center for Forensic Medicine conducted an autopsy on ten body parts found in Ramtha, Balqa, and Amman, including a part on Jordan Street. The autopsy revealed stab wounds, and it was clear the killer had used saws and knives to separate the forearms, feet, head, and pelvis from the body.

Samples from the body are being examined for toxic or narcotic substances.
