Recent data revealed a dramatic increase in the number of “Israelis” permanently leaving the country following October 7.
Based on figures from the “Israeli” Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), emigration surged by 285 percent in October 2023 compared to the same month in 2022, according to reports from the Times of Israel and Channel 12 News.
Data published shortly after October 7 indicated that nearly half a million “Israelis” left the country, while there was also a noticeable drop in the number of Jewish immigrants arriving in “Israel”.
A subsequent survey conducted by Hebrew University and the World Zionist Organisation (WZO) revealed that 80 percent of “Israelis” living abroad expressed no intention of returning.
This contrasts sharply with Zionist claims that “Israel” serves as the ultimate refuge for Jews globally.
In addition, there was a significant increase in “Israelis” moving abroad in the months leading up to the war.
From June to September 2023, emigration rose by 51 percent compared to the same period in 2022, driven in part by widespread protests against the government's judicial overhaul plans.
Between November 2023 and March 2024, 30,000 “Israelis” left the country permanently, representing a 14 percent decrease from the previous year.
Furthermore, there was a 21 percent reduction in the number of “Israelis” returning from abroad during this period, with 8,898 returnees compared to 11,231 the year before.
Channel 12 emphasizes that the CBS data tracks “Israelis” who left the country and did not return within 10 months.
