Palestinian-American supermodel Bella Hadid is allegedly exploring her legal options after Adidas removed her from an advertising campaign for the relaunch of their 1972 Munich Olympic sneakers.

Hadid is reportedly dissatisfied with Adidas’s handling of the situation, alleging that the company has not taken adequate public accountability, according to reports from the celebrity tabloid website TMZ.

The SL72 sneaker, which Adidas recently reintroduced as part of a retro collection, was first showcased by athletes during the 1972 Munich Olympics.

The Games were marred when members of the Black September Organization group took 11 “Israeli” athletes and a German police officer hostage, leading to their deaths.

Following widespread backlash from pro-Israeli figures and organizations, the company removed all posts featuring Hadid from their social media accounts.

Adidas told American media outlets, “We are conscious that connections have been made to tragic historical events—though these are completely unintentional—and we apologize for any upset or distress caused.”

Sources close to Hadid suggest she was unaware of the campaign’s full context when she signed on and now feels that Adidas should be held responsible for the oversight.

As the situation develops, Hadid’s legal team is assessing potential actions against Adidas, seeking redress for what she views as a misstep by the company in its campaign decisions.
