The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and British Foreign Secretary and Development Minister, David Lammy, engaged in a telephone conversation today.

During their discussion, both ministers expressed their commitment to enhancing the historic bilateral relations between their countries and increasing cooperation across various fields.

A significant portion of their talks focused on efforts to secure an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and to address the catastrophic humanitarian suffering in the region.

The ministers also reviewed the current regional situations and explored ways to de-escalate the dangerous tensions affecting the area.

Safadi took the opportunity to congratulate Lammy on his new role and emphasized the importance of continuing to build on the strong relations that Jordan and Britain have long enjoyed.

Both ministers highlighted the value of the ongoing consultation process between their nations. They agreed to conduct more detailed discussions in an upcoming meeting.
