Approximately 27 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in a series of “Israeli” strikes targeting east Khan Younis in south Gaza on Monday.
The “Israeli” military reported that it conducted 63 airstrikes since Monday morning – after issuing eviction orders in accordance with what it claimed to be “precise intelligence indicating that Hamas has embedded terror infrastructure in the humanitarian zone.”
Casualties from the towns of Bani Suhaila, Sheikh Nasser, Al-Qarara, and Qizan Al-Najjar, among other areas, were transported to Nasser Medical Complex, which has called on people to donate blood to save the lives of the injured.
“The IDF is about to forcefully operate against the terror organizations and therefore calls on the remaining population left in the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis to temporarily evacuate to the adjusted humanitarian area in al-Mawasi,” the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said in the earlier statement.
At the end of March, the IOF concluded a four-month ground offensive in Khan Younis, during which most of the city's neighborhoods were destroyed, the military then resumed intensive airstrikes, resulting in numerous casualties.
