The Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) confirmed that there has been no increase in passenger transport fares to the Syrian capital, Damascus, through external travel offices.

On Tuesday, the commission urged "citizens who are asked to pay more than the fixed fare to report the vehicle number to the commission's directorates in the governorates to take legal action."

The commission had received complaints from citizens about some external travel vehicles raising fares to Damascus over the past week, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
