The Greater Amman Municipality has announced a Design, Build, Operate, and Transfer (DBOT) tender for the first package of the Amman Smart City project.

The project aims to enhance partnerships with the private sector and integrate modern technology, following royal directives to provide the best services to the city and its residents, make it attractive for investment, reduce traffic congestion, and decrease emissions.

The project comprises four main packages, with the first package focusing on four key projects under the theme of "smart mobility." The first phase of this package involves a call for technical proposals for tender No. 37/1/2024.
