A senior military official in the Israeli Occupation forces revealed on Friday that troops in northern Israel are preparing for a "decisive attack" against Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to Agence France-Presse.

Since the start of the Israeli Occupation's aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, cross-border shelling between Hezbollah and resistance factions on one side, and Israeli Occupation forces on the other, has been nearly daily along the Lebanon-Palestine border.

The commander of the northern command in the Israeli Occupation army, Major General Ori Gordin, claimed that over 500 resistance fighters in Lebanon, mostly from Hezbollah, had been killed, and thousands of resistance installations destroyed.

At least 523 people, mostly resistance fighters, including 104 civilians, have been killed in Lebanon since October 7. In contrast, 18 soldiers and 13 civilians have been killed on the Israeli Occupation side, according to the Occupation authorities.

The exchanges of shelling have largely remained confined to border areas, leading to the displacement of tens of thousands of Lebanese residents and "Israeli" settlers.

In his statement, Gordin said, "When the time comes and we launch the attack, it will be decisive and conclusive," promising to "change the security reality" in northern Occupied Palestine.
