The Anti-Narcotics Department of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) successfully disrupted multiple drug smuggling schemes and arrested 12 individuals.

One of the most significant operations involved the seizure of 400,000 pills intended for smuggling into the Kingdom.

Authorities apprehended two suspects who were attempting to bring the drugs into the country with plans to re-export them to a neighboring nation.

In another major operation, investigators uncovered a large quantity of pills concealed in a secret compartment within a truck. The pills were also intended for smuggling into a neighboring country.

Following a thorough investigation, the suspects' identities and the location of their operation in Zarqa Governorate were identified.

The suspects were arrested while en route to the border, and 200,000 pills were seized from the hidden compartment.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) highlighted the department’s proactive measures, including a specialized security campaign in the central desert area.

The operation led to the seizure of various drugs, including pills, hashish, and cocaine.

Further notable successes were achieved in Balqa Governorate, where two adjacent houses used for storing and selling drugs were raided. The operation led to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of 12,000 pills from the properties.
