The Palestinian Ministry of Education released the 2023/2024 Tawjihi examination results on Monday.

However, the announcement comes in the midst of severe disruptions caused by ongoing “Israeli” aggression in the Gaza Strip.

Education Minister Amjad Barham revealed that 39,000 students from Gaza were unable to sit for the Tawjihi exams this year. 

The devastating impact of the ongoing violence resulted in the martyrdom of 10,000 Tawjihi students and 400 teachers, making it impossible for these students to participate in the examinations.

Barham noted that due to the incomplete number of students who could take the exams, the Ministry will not be providing a general pass rate this year. 

Despite the challenges, approximately 50,000 students from the West Bank, as well as those residing in Turkey, Qatar, Romania, Bulgaria, and Russia, completed their exams. 

The exams were held across 506 examination halls.
