The White House expressed optimism that a broader conflict between Tel Aviv and Lebanese Hezbollah can be avoided.

On Monday, US National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby stated, "No one wants a wider war," and expressed confidence that such an outcome can be prevented.

In related news, the Israeli Occupation authorities accused Hezbollah on Saturday of launching the missile attack that struck the Druze town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, resulting in 12 fatalities.

Hezbollah and the Israeli Occupation Forces have been exchanging missile attacks amid the ongoing aggression in Gaza. Kirby emphasized that these rising tensions should not affect the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
