Hamas strikes “Israeli” forces in several operations following leader’s assassination

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced today several operations against invading “Israeli” forces in the Gaza Strip, following the assassination of its politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh by an “Israeli” airstrike in Tehran, Iran.

In a “compound ambush”, Al-Qassam fighters engaged with an “Israeli” unit fortified inside a house in the Shabura camp in Rafah from point-blank range, resulting in several casualties – per the statement.

On its official Telegram channel, it added that it targeted an “Israeli” Merkava tank with a Yassine-105 rocket.

In a joint operation with Al-Quds Brigades, fighters targeted an “Israeli” gathering east of Juhor al-Dik with short-range SK-8 rockets.

Another Merkava tank was hit with a Yassine-105 rocket in the Shouka area east of Rafah in south Gaza.

An “Israeli” D9 military bulldozer was targeted with a Yassin-105 rocket also in the Shouka area – the statement added.
