Hebrew media reported that dozens of rockets were launched from north Lebanon towards the Western Galilee, with at least 15 intercepted by the Iron Dome.

The attack comes after 48 hours of calm on the “Israeli”-Lebanese border, following an “Israeli” strike on a residential building in Beirut which claimed the life of senior Hezbollah commander and Hasan Nasrallah’s military advisor Fuad Shukr.

Hebrew media said that at this point, no injuries or casualties have been reported.

Earlier today, in a televised speech, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General vowed that his group will deliver an “inevitable response” to the assassination of Shukr, and that the resistance axis “currently stands before a major battle” – per his expression.

“We stand before a major battle, this issue has escalated beyond us being just a support front.”

“On all support fronts, we have entered a new phase,” Nasrallah said, referring to Houthis, Hezbollah, and other Iran-backed groups as “support fronts”.
