The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) initiated the jamming of the Global Positioning System (GPS) in the Tel Aviv area to neutralize potential threats.

On Sunday morning, users of the “Israeli” Waze app reported the disruption in GPS services, which mistakenly displayed locations in the occupied territories as being in Beirut.

The recent GPS jamming triggered concerns of an imminent Iranian attack, according to the “Israeli” newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

This situation echoes the events of four months ago when an Iranian retaliation involved launching 300 rockets and drones at “Israel” in response to the bombing of its consulate in Damascus.

The newspaper reported that, like the previous incident, the IOF has once again turned to GPS jamming as a precautionary measure.
