The Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army said in a statement that the recent social media videos coming out from the Gulf of Aqaba are part of exercises conducted by the Royal Navy and Marine Force in preparation for the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) 2024.

The statement added that the maritime exercise, scheduled for early next month, will include maritime interception operations and underwater explosions within Jordanian territorial waters.

“The public is advised to avoid spreading rumors and misleading information and to rely on official sources for accurate updates,” the statement concluded.
