The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said today that the Southern Military Zone thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone on its western front.

The statement added through surveillance and monitoring, engagement rules were applied to the drone, causing it to retreat. Following a search and inspection, a quantity of narcotics was found, and the seized materials were transferred to the relevant authorities.

“The Jordanian Armed Forces remain committed to utilizing all their resources to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” the statement said.
