Yemen’s Houthis targeted the ship "CONTSHIP ONO" in the Red Sea with several ballistic missiles and drones – per a statement issued by the group.

“The operation resulted in a precise hit,” the statement said, “the attack was prompted by the ship's owner violating the entry ban into the ports of occupied Palestine,” it added.

Additionally, a “high-profile operation” was carried out as multiple drones targeted the American destroyer USS Cole in the Gulf of Aden.

“The naval forces also conducted a significant operation against the American destroyer Laboon using ballistic missiles,” the Houthis said.

The two destroyers were targeted while transiting through the Yemeni Armed Forces’ operational area towards the northern Red Sea, per the Houthis, adding that they were unable to fully counter the missile and drones.
