Iran’s acting foreign minister Ali Bagheri warned “Israel” that it has committed a costly strategic mistake with Haniyeh’s killing.

Iran said “Israel” committed a costly “strategic mistake” after assassinating Hamas’ political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Iran’s acting foreign Minister Ali Bagheri said Thursday to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

"The act that the Zionists carried out in Tehran was a strategic mistake because it will cost them gravely," Ali Bagheri said, adding that “Israel” seeks to “expand tension, war and conflict to other countries."

Bagheri added that the Israeli Occupation is “in no position” to wage war against Iran.

Yesterday, “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked “Israelis” to “stay calm and composed” ahead of an anticipated Iranian strike along with allies.

“We are continuing forward to victory. I know that Israeli citizens are on alert, and I ask you one thing — stay calm and composed,” Netanyahu said in a visit to the Tel Hashomer army base.

“We are prepared for both defense and offense, we are striking our enemies and are also determined to defend ourselves.”

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also said Hasan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, may drag the Lebanese state to “pay heavy prices.”

“They can’t even imagine what might happen…As things stand, Nasrallah may drag Lebanon into paying extremely heavy prices,” Gallant said during a drill simulating a scenario of war with Lebanon conducted by the 646th reserve paratroopers brigade.

On the possibility of a war breaking out, Gallant said that the chances of this happening is “real…It’s not theoretical.”
