The Public Security Directorate (PSD) renewed its warning against serious violations, including convoy driving and extending parts of passengers' bodies outside vehicles, ahead of the announcement of the 2024 Tawjihi exam results in Jordan.

The PSD stated that its traffic patrols, deployed in both civilian and military attire, will work to regulate traffic and prevent dangerous violations that could lead to unfortunate accidents, including reckless driving.

It explained that the penalty for "reckless or flashy driving on the roads" has been made stricter by lawmakers due to the potential risks it poses to road safety.

The fine for such an offense is JD 200, along with a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle.

The PSD urged citizens to avoid these violations, emphasizing the importance of public awareness and community partnership in eliminating such behaviors.

It also encouraged reporting offenders by sending photos and videos via WhatsApp to the hotline 0770999030.
